You will feel His love for you as you seek to understand His life and teachings."[2] This church was founded by their first prophet Joseph Smith in 1830 upstate New York and now has over 16 million members organized into 3300+ "stakes" worldwide. There are several stakes in the local area. (Also referred to as LDS Church or Mormon Church.)

The Church of Christ, Scientist was founded in 1879 by Mary Baker Eddy, author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and founder of Christian Science. North Coast Church[]

North Coast Church is a megachurch headquarterd in Vista, California, roughly thirty miles north of San Diego. The church was founded as a Bible study in 1976 in a Carlsbad home, but today offers over 50 worship options on seven campuses, each with a different worship style and ambiance.  Each weekend, regardless of campus or service time you choose, you will hear the same message presented by one of the pastors on their teaching team.

The Orthodox Church, also officially called the Orthodox Catholic Church, and commonly referred to in English-speaking countries as the Eastern Orthodox Church, is the world's second largest Christian communion, estimated to number 300 Million  It is considered by its adherents to be the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church established by Jesus Christ and his Apostles almost 2,000 years ago.

The Salvation Army (TSA) is a Christian church and an international charitable organisation. The organisation reports a worldwide membership of over 1.7 million, consisting of soldiers, officers and adherents collectively known as Salvationists. Its founders sought to bring salvation to the poor, destitute, and hungry by meeting both their "physical and spiritual needs".

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant Christian denomination which is distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the seventh day of the week in Christian and Jewish calendars, as the Sabbath, and its emphasis on the imminent Second Coming ( advent) of Jesus Christ.

Unity Church[]

Unity, known informally as Unity Church, is an organization founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in 1889. It grew out of Transcendentalism and became part of the New Thought movement. Unity is known for its Daily Word devotional publication. While it was originally considered as a "positive, practical Christianity" which "teach[es] the effective daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ,"  Unity now describes itself as "for people who might call themselves spiritual but not religious."

Buddhism is the world's fourth-largest religion with over 520 million followers, known as Buddhists. Buddhism encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on original teachings attributed to the Buddha and resulting interpreted philosophies.

Hinduism[]

Hinduism is an Indian religion and dharma, or way of life. It is the world's third-largest religion, with over 1.25 billion followers, known as Hindus. It includes a range of philosophies, and is linked by shared concepts, recognisable rituals, cosmology, pilgrimage to sacred sites and shared textual resources that discuss theology, philosophy, mythology, Vedic yajna, yoga, agamic rituals, and temple building, among other topics.

  • Jain Society of San Diego - Jainism , traditionally known as Jain Dharma, is an ancient Indian religion. Jain dharma traces its spiritual ideas and history through a succession of twenty-four leaders or Tirthankaras, with the first in current time cycle being Lord Rishabhanatha, whom the tradition holds to have lived millions of years ago, the twenty-third tirthankara Lord Parshvanatha whom historians date to 8th century BCE, and the 24th tirthankara, Lord Mahavira around 600 BCE. Jainism is considered to be an eternal dharma with the tirthankaras guiding every time cycle of the cosmology.

Judaism is an ethnic religion comprising the collective religious, cultural, and legal tradition and civilization of the Jewish people. Judaism is considered by religious Jews to be the expression of the covenant that God established with the Children of Israel.
