Churches of Christ are autonomous Christian congregations associated with one another through distinct beliefs and practices based on their interpretation of the Bible. Represented in the United States and one of several branches across the world, they believe in using only biblical precedents for their doctrine and practices citing examples from the early Christian church as described in the New Testament.

"As Christians, we believe in learning all we can about Jesus. The greatest happiness in life comes from following the Savior. You will feel His love for you as you seek to understand His life and teachings."[1] This church was founded by their first prophet Joseph Smith in 1830 upstate New York and now has over 16 million members organized into 3300+ "stakes" worldwide. There are several stakes in the local area. (Also referred to as LDS Church or Mormon Church.)

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant Christian denomination which is distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the seventh day of the week in Christian and Jewish calendars, as the Sabbath, and its emphasis on the imminent Second Coming ( advent) of Jesus Christ.

The objectives of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) are referred to as the Aims of Scouting: Character, Citizenship, Personal Fitness, Leadership. The BSA pursues these aims through an informal education system called the Scout method, with variations that are designed to be appropriate for the age and maturity of each membership division. Their Character building program emphasizes Duty to God. They charter with many local religious groups of all faiths to deliver this program.
