Irad is a name in Hebrew. Its meaning is unknown and it is assumed that it is a play on the Hebrew word "Mored" which means rebellious in reference to Irad being a part of the "Bad Seeds" of Cain's blood. In the Bible, the grandson of Cain is Irad.
