Important verses

Matthew 17:14-21 " The powerless disciples: the Mighty Christ"

14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of y…

Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone here! I’m new to this abode, but I have made the decision to start a new Wiki. Over the past few years, I have made major discoveries, of texts that hardly no one knows of, which helped spur me into this. I specifically am speaking of Biblical texts. Most people know what the Bible is, and the opinions on it vary. What most people don’t understand is how ancient the Bible really is. The stories in it go back at most thousands of years ago, and tell us of the ancient world like no other book of antiquity. However, what we call the Bible today, is a fusing of the ancient Jewish Torah, and Christian Gospels and Epistles. What we call the Bible, was in fact only created about 325 A.D.! In that time, there have been hundreds of t…

Kabbalah revision

Kabbalah is sometimes defined as the "mystical" tradition of Judaism, this is somewhat misleading as the Kabbalah is only one of several forms of Jewish mysticism, and the Kabbalah itself is not fully mystical. Granted there are branches of the Kabbalah, notably "ecstatic" Kabbalah, that stress mystical experience. Most Kabbalistic schools, however, place a much greater emphasis upon myth, magic, and theosophy. The particular interest of this page will be Kabbalistic mythology and theosophy which consist of a mythical and conceptual account of the inner workings of the Infinite Godhead and its relationship to the world, in particular humanity. The reader should note that the "Kabbalah" is not the same as the "Qabbalah" (the former which is…

Can anyone help me with set theory

Recently I am writing a book about making a bound for my DNA ordinal. I am almost finished with the book (which currently have 7800 words written into 20 pages), but I need some serious help regarding set theory for making the bound and a following proof. My best result to this point is that my DNA ordinal is between PTO(Pi^1_3-CA0) and PTO(Pi^1_3-CA+BI), which is on the realm of 2-stable ordinals. Noted that I generally like to refer to SLCON (see here ) as a side tool to help me to determine the size of DNA ordinal.

Here's some important results from SLCON, as in the page, plus some minor modifications based on some chat and some professional study of ordinal hierarchies: 1st ω-ple 2-stable ordinal; limit of first n 2-nonprojectables  = S…

Great Holy places for Muslims in the world

A Beautiful Hadith about the Great Holy places for Muslims in the world.

Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said:

Don’t prepare yourself for a journey except to “3” Mosques, Al-Haram Mosque, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and my Mosque (Al-Nabvi Mosque).

This Hadith is enough to every Muslim to understand that what are the Holy places for Muslims in the world?

Al-Haram Mosque:

Millions of the Muslims perform Hajj and Umrah at this place.  Umrah can be performed at any time of the year because it is not mentioned anywhere in Islamic laws that Umrah is obligatory for every Muslims. Muslims only perform it for getting the happiness of Allah and if they perform it successfully then they get uncounted and unlimited rewards from Allah. Although Hajj is oblig…

When you are young you think you have it all very nearly figured out.

When you are young you think you have it all very nearly figured out. You think that its all simple and one dimensional.
Then you get older and find out that things are not so simple. What at first sight appears to be one-dimensional often turns out to be multi-dimensional.

Male-female seems to be one dimensional but its not that simple. Its actually two dimensional.

male
female
both (hermaphrodite)
neither (schizoid)

Its the same with atheism vs theism which at first appears to be one dimensional.

Religion is how autistic people (strictly speaking hyper-empirical people) see civilization. They see a distorted image because they do not fully understand emergence. (Law and life are emergent properties.)

Civilization is my country. Objectivity is my religion.

This is what I grew up on:

The World Tomorrow Program:

Here it is on youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL71268395367D3087&app=desktop

They taught that the old testament laws were a requirement for all people. I now understand that they were indeed a requirement if you wanted to be Jewish but there was in fact never any requirement that people had to convert to Judaism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noahidism

According to the Jewish law, non-Jews are not obligated to convert to Judaism, but they are required to observe the Seven Laws of Noah. Noahidism is just a fancy term for civilization and civilized laws. Or at least, that is what it should be.

Should we do this or should we do that?

Should we be atheists? Should we be theists? Should we be Catholics? Should we be 7th day? Should we be Buddhists?

Its all so confusing. But the real question is not should we do this or should we do that.

The real question is why is there so much confusion in the first place?

If I were running a country I would want everyone to know exactly what is going on so everyone could see why I was doing what I was doing and so everyone could make informed decisions.

Yet in spite of thousands on newspapers and news channels confusion abounds.

Why so much darkness? Why so much smoke? Where is it all coming from? Who is getting rich off all this confusion?

Civilization is my country. Objectivity is my religion.

Trolls

Nobody ever changed their mind because others mocked and ridiculed them. Mocking and ridiculing only causes people to entrench themselves even deeper in their own beliefs.

We all get angry when we see rational human beings acting like animals. Thats normal.

The thing you need to understand is that trolls are not rational human beings acting like animals. They are animals pretending to be rational human beings.

Rational human beings do things for rational reasons. Animals do things precisely because they are irrational. Animals get up in the morning and ask themselves what is the most irrational thing they can do that day. Then they go out and do exactly that.

Fascism (aspergers) is perhaps best described as "anti-ism"; that is, the philosophy…

THE MECHANICS OF MINDFULNESS: TRAIN THE DRIVER ; DON’T CHANGE THE CAR

What is mindfulness and what is Samadhi? What exactly are the “Deviant Dharma Doors and External Ways” that the Buddha often warns about in the Sutras? The answer can be easily illustrated by a simple example: If the human body is a car and the mind is the driver, then mindfulness and samadhi refers to the training of the driver to be more patient, more responsible, more attentive and competent. On the other hand, Deviant or External Ways seek merely to upgrade or modify the car to extreme degrees rather than train the driver to be more emotionally stable, skilled or competent—attributing any accident, shortcoming or unfortunate event to be an engineering or technical issue while totally ignoring the driver’s capability or responsibility.  …

Belief

A theist is someone that believes that God exists. An atheist is someone that believes God does not exist.

The truth is you shouldn't believe anything. You should always know.

If I have a coin with two heads and I flip it then I know that it will land heads.

If it has one heads and one Tails then I don't know what it will land but I still know the probability Is 50/50.

If I don't know how many heads or tails the coin has then I don't know what the probability is but I still know what the Bayesian probability is. The Bayesian probability is the degree to which you expect it.

At no point is it necessary to believe anything.

Believing = thinking you know

Knowing the Bayesian probability = knowing that you think

Ark of salvation

Ark = Infinite house = New Jerusalem = Paradise = Salvation

It isn't God that you need saved from. God is on your side. It's the devil that wants to send you to the lake of fire (the sun). In fact the devil is the Lake of Fire.

The devil is not evil because no thing and no person is infinitely bad. But the devil is infinitely psychopathic.

The devil can't be reasoned with. He can't be bargained with. He doesn't feel fear or pity or remorse. And he absolutely will not stop. Ever!

The only way to deal with the devil (and fascists in general) is to ignore him. To not care. Being ignored is the only thing they can't take. You shouldn't care what the devil thinks of you. You shouldn't care about the devil. It can be hard to ignore the devil when y…

Aram-Naharaim = highland between 2 rivers = Mt Gilboa

Aram-Naharaim Aramaic:ארם נהריים is a region that is mentioned five times in the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament. In Genesis, it is used somewhat interchangeably with the names Paddan Aram and Haran to denote the place where Abraham stayed briefly with his father Terah's family after leaving Ur of the Chaldees, while en route to Canaan (Gen. 11:31), and the place to which later patriarchs obtained wives, rather than marry daughters of Canaan.

Theia and the flood

Genesis:

Day 1: The core of the Sun (now a brown dwarf) collapses and Neptune, Ouranos, Satyrn, & Jupiter spin off the Suns equator.

Day 2: Super heated core material erupts onto the suns surface forming a pancake dome (firmament) which boils off all volatiles (waters).

Day 3: Earth, Mars, Venus, & Mercury spin off the suns equator.

Day 4: Four moons spin off the Earths equator.

3 billion years ago Theia's decaying orbit reached the Roche limit and over the next 1.5 billion years Theia slowly deposited all of its mass onto a ring of mountains circling the earth's equator.

First the ices on Theia's surface were deposited. This created Earths ocean (and atmosphere). Since the earth at that time had no continents the water completely flooded its su…

The Call of Communion

The Call of Communion

You may already know we Catholics are big into tradition and one of the seemingly mandatory ones is when any Catholic gives a talk he has to start out with a story. Who am I, striving to be a faithful son of the Church, to break such a tradition?

Once upon a time (December 1952) in a land far, far away (New York City) there once lived the author and literary critic Mary McCarthy. Mary McCarthy is not much remembered today other than her best-selling 1963 novel, The Group. Mary had long been a member of New York City's literati, a clique of cultural elites who then, as now, were overwhelmingly secular and cynical and as a very alienated lapsed Catholic, Mary McCarthy fit right in. On this December night, Mary and her …

Hinduism and Buddhism share some of the following similarities.

Hinduism and Buddhism share some of the similarities, such as Both Hinduism and Buddhism emphasize the illusory nature of the world and the role of karma in keeping men bound to this world and the cycle of births and deaths, desire is the root cause of suffering and removal of desire results in the cessation of suffering. Some of the Hindu texts such as the Upanishads (Isa) and the Bhagavadgita consider doing actions prompted by desire an attachment would lead to bondage and suffering and that performing actions without desiring the fruit of action would result in liberation, both religions believe in the concept of karma, transmigration of souls and the cycle of birt…

Useful Idiots: Another Screwtape Tribute

Useful Idiots

(Another Screwtape tribute)

Author’s disclaimer: Like CS Lewis, I will not tell you how Treaclegloch’s columns came into my possession.  Like Screwtape and other devils, it must always be remembered that Treaclegloch is a self-serving liar and prone to the particular brand of wishful thinking found in Hell. For those readers not familiar with The Screwtape Letters and Screwtape Proposes a Toast, whenever a devil refers to “the Enemy” he is referring to God and when he refers to “our Father below” he is referring to Lucifer. These and other similar inversions of usage and values should be remembered when interpreting any devilish missive.

The whole scene is starting to worry me deeply. It seems that Iran is developing a siege mentality and the Western media is responding by doing all it can to whip up anti-Iran fervour.

Human rights abuses do indeed seem to be on the increase in Tehran but I don't see the threats from Israel and the US as being at all helpful. Indeed, I found this recent article by Daniel Pipes most disturbing.

Irish bishop resigns over child abuse scandal

The Irish Roman Catholic bishop Donal Murray has resigned, following a strongly critical report on his handling of child sex abuse cases. It was announced today he would be leaving the position of Bishop of Limerick, and that the Pope had accepted his resignation.

The report into allegations against priests in the Dublin Archdiocese decribed Murray's conduct in one case as "inexcusable". Father Thomas Naughton was sentenced to three years jail in 1998 for abuse, and yesterday was jailed once again for further abuse between 1982 and 1984. Judge Michael O'Shea described the abuse as "appalling, shocking and horrifying", and said it had an "absolutely catastrophic" impact on the victim, a six year old altar boy.

Murray had failed to investigate…

Pope Benedict XVI confirms visit to Scotland as part of his UK tour

Pope Benedict XVI has confirmed that he will be travelling to Scotland as part of his tour to the United Kingdom this year.

The Pope made the announcement, which was in a gathering with the Scottish Catholic bishops in Rome, Italy, in response to an address from Cardinal Keith Michael Patrick O'Brien.

The Pope has been quoted as saying: "Later this year, I shall have the joy of being present with you and the Catholics of Scotland on your native soil."

Pope Benedict, who announced that he would be taking a visit to the United Kingdom in 2010 last year, spoke against sectarianism and euthanasia. He said that "[f]aith schools are a powerful force for social cohesion."

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

A court in Poland has issued a European Union arrest warrant for 34-year-old Anders Hogstrom, the alleged mastermind involved in the theft of the infamous Arbeit Macht Frei sign from Auschwitz. The sign, later recovered cut into three pieces, was stolen from the entrance of the death camp in December last year. Five Poles have been arrested for the arrest of the sign, that translates to "work sets you free". The wrought-iron sign weighs 40kg and is five metres long, and was unscrewed and ripped from above the gate of the infamous site in the heart of Poland. The theft caused outrage around the world, in particular in Poland and Israel.

China urges Obama to cancel Dalai Lama visit

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

China has warned the United States that ties between the two countries will be strained if the US President meets the Dalai Lama. This follows the little progress achieved at "sharply divided" talks between China and the representatives of the Dalai Lama in China. Chinese Communist Party official Zhu Weiqun, speaking at a press conference to discuss the five-day visit by the representatives, said that "corresponding action" would be taken if the White House did not step down. He elaborated, stating that "it will seriously undermine the foundations of Sino-US political relations", and that China would take "corresponding action to make relevant countries see their mistakes."

He added, "The Dalai Lama is already 75. W…

Ritual sacrifice in Nepal sees 320,000 animals slaughtered to Hindu goddess

In a tribute to Gadhimai, a Hindu goddess of power, a Nepalese festival began today with the mass sacrifice of 20,000 buffalo in the village of Bariyapur. Shortly after, 300,000 birds, sheep and goats were similarly ritually slaughtered.

It is estimated as many as 750,000 people travelled from India, which recently banned similar mass-sacrifices, to make up the majority of the festival's estimated one million attendees. Member of Parliament Shiv Chandra Kushwaha skipped Tuesday's legislative meeting, saying that the festival had more importance as a religious celebration.

Although animal rights groups have condemned the ceremony as cruel, the Nepalese government has ignored requests to cancel the festival, held once every five years. Last ye…

According to witness reports, the men were collecting scrap metal when they were killed near the border; Israeli officials, however, said that the men were trying to shoot rockets into Israel. An Israeli military spokeswoman said that the army had nothing to do with the shooting.

Israel "illegally annexing" east Jerusalem, EU reports

Friday, December 4, 2009

A classified European Union report for 2009 says Israel is actively pursuing the annexation of east Jerusalem. The report accuses Israel of implementing an intricate policy including expanding Jewish settlements and demolishing Palestinian homes. It says policies "are undermining prospects for a Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem and incrementally render a sustainable two-state solution unfeasible"; this is described as, "an integral part of a broader Israeli strategy."

Israeli Foreign ministry spokesperson, Yigal Palmor, told AFP that the report was "dishonest", "reflects the Palestinian propaganda" and "is based exclusively on Palestinian versions and figures." This comes as EU foreign ministers prepare a statem…

Palestinian state set to be abandoned, says Erekat

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

According to the chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, Palestinians may need to abandon their goal of creating an independent state should Israel continue expanding Jewish settlements on contested land. Erekat stated it was time for Mahmoud Abbas to "tell his people the truth, that with the continuation of settlement activities, the two-state solution is no longer an option".

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton unsuccessfully asked Abbas to negotiate with Israel in order to solve the settlement issue, saying "[g]etting into final status negotiations will allow us to bring an end to settlement activity." On a visit to Cairo, Clinton mentioned that Washington wanted an end to the activities in Israel.

Clinton to Abbas: Resume peace talks with no preconditions

Monday, November 2, 2009

United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Palestinian negotiators yesterday that they should resume talks with Israeli negotiators without the preconditions that Israel stop all settlement building in the occupied territories. Mrs. Clinton's statements came after Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas told Israeli negotiators that all negotiations would be postponed until Israel stopped building settlement houses in Palestinian territory.

Secretary of State Clinton praised what she called "unprecedented" concessions on settlement building in the occupied territories. Clinton went on to add, "There has never been a precondition [to stop settlements]. It's always been an issue within the negotiations."

Israel evicts two Palestinian families from their homes

Monday, August 3, 2009

Two Palestinian families who have been living in East Jerusalem since 1956, were evicted from their homes on Sunday after an Israeli court rejected their appeal filed against the eviction. The eviction comes after increasing international pressure on Israel to stop settlement activity and end home evictions.

At least 19 children were among those removed. Al Jazeera reports that a family was beaten with batons as they tried to get back into their house. JTA reports that Jewish families moved into the homes shortly after the Palestinian families were evicted.

French MPs call for ban on veils for Muslim women

An all-party committee of French parliamentarians has recommended that Muslim women should be banned from wearing face veils when using public services such as hospitals and public transport. Other recommendations include refusing citizenship or residence permits to those who visibly show "radical religious practice". The report does not call for a complete ban, but it would place a number of restrictions on daily life for those who wished to carry on wearing a veil.

According to the committee's report, "The wearing of the full veil is a challenge to our republic. This is unacceptable." It added, "We must condemn this excess". It criticised the practice as being contrary to French principles of secularism and equality, and called for the F…

Onderwerp: Help needed to cover unanticipated costs incurred by UK Freedom Marchers

(See bottom of this message for details of how to make a donation)
